Alright, I’m in a new phase of my connection with Her—it’s a bit unrefined. For those of you already devoted to this Great One, your understanding is appreciated. Here, I will present this experience in its unpolished form, which perhaps is what She prefers. We’ll see if She conveys anything different.

Establishing the Temple of Nephthys
Entering
Position yourself to the West of your ritual area. Place your hands together at your heart and inhale deeply. Perform the Nebet gesture by crossing your arms over your heart, then slowly opening them wide, palms facing up, as if you are holding a large, shallow vessel, akin to the “nebet” vessel.
- Nebet Gesture: Picture yourself cradling a large bowl or basket, which represents the bowl atop Nephthys’ name glyph.
Now dedicate:
“Come to me, come to me, Nephthys, Goddess, Lady of the Temple. Come to me, and allow me to come to You.”
Purification & Consecration
Prepare your vessels for purification and consecration—fill a Cup with clean water and light charcoal for your incense burner. Hold the Cup aloft as you summon the Souls of Night.
“O You Souls of Night, Water Dwellers, Purifiers, You of the Pure Water from the Well of Nephthys, I have called for You! By the Depth, by the Strength, by the Magic of Nephthys, come to reside in this vessel.” (Vibrate into Cup) “NEBET-HWT MU!”
Walk in a clockwise manner around the ritual space, sprinkling water and reciting:
“Nephthys is pure, the temple is pure. The temple is pure, I am pure. I am pure with the purity of Nephthys. I embody the purity of the Goddess.”
Once you reach the West again, purify yourself, lift the Cup, and declare:
“By the Magic of Nephthys, it is done!”
Purification & Consecration
Set down the Cup and take the Censer. Raise it and call upon the Souls of Day.
“O You Souls of Day, Fire Dwellers, Consecrators, You of the Pure Flame from Nephthys’ mouth, I have summoned You! By the Depth, by the Strength, by the Magic of Nephthys, come to inhabit this censer.” (Vibrate into Censer) “NEBET-HWT ASH!”
Again, circle clockwise around your ritual space and incense, stating:
“Nephthys is consecrated, the temple is consecrated. The temple is consecrated, I am consecrated. I am consecrated by the fire of Nephthys. I carry the flame of the Goddess.”
On returning to the West, cense yourself and elevate the Censer, proclaiming:
“By the Magic of Nephthys, it is done!”
Establishing the Horizons
Move to the middle of the ritual space and prepare. Next, go East. Raise your hands in the Akhet gesture—first close to your heart, then extend while speaking with power.
“In the name of the Lady of the Limit, the Eastern Horizon is established!”
Turn to the West and repeat the gesture.
“In the name of the Lady of the Limit, the Western Horizon is established!”
Continuing clockwise to the South, perform the gesture again.
“In the name of the Lady of the Limit, the Southern Horizon is established!”
Finally, turn North and repeat.
“In the name of the Lady of the Limit, the Northern Horizon is established!”
Return to the West, facing East, completing the circle.
Establishing the Temple Boundaries
Take your wand and trace a small rectangle on the floor in the West; this becomes the Gateway.
Beginning at the left side of the Gateway, walk clockwise around the ritual area, tracing a large circle while walking outside the boundary. Connect this circle back to the right side of the Gateway.
Standing in the Gateway, pause and visualize the Horizons, Gateway, and Circle you’ve traced. Inhale deeply, then exhale while stepping through the Gateway:
“Let me enter Your temple, O Great Goddess Nephthys.”
As you enter, visualize the Gateway closing, completing the ritual circle. Lay your wand across the Gateway.
Knowing the Horizons
Return to the center, facing East. Place your hands, one atop the other, at your heart.
“Across the Eastern Horizon, the twilight dawns eternally. The Brilliant One rises in perfection.” (Bow to the East.)
Now turn South.
“Across the Southern Horizon, the day shines forever. The Barque of the Day navigates the skies in perpetual beauty.” (Bow to the South.)
Face West.
“Across the Western Horizon, twilight dusk extends endlessly. The Brilliant One sets and begins to dream in perfection.” (Bow to the West.)
Turn North.
“Across the Northern Horizon, night lasts eternally. The Barque of the Night journeys through the Otherworld endlessly.” (Bow to the North.)
Invoking Nephthys
Now turn to the East, making the Nebet gesture with intention.
“Beautiful Sister Nephthys, I open my heart to You.
I call to You from deep within. My tongue recognizes Your name. My mind perceives Your wings, and my body feels Your flames, O Senet Noferet, Good Sister, Wise One of Counsel.
Guide me toward Your Truth, Your Ma’at! Uncover for me what lies within your Deep Mystery. Come to me, Sister of my heart and soul, who safeguards my ka, ba, and akh, now and always.
Enter Your House, O come to Your House, Lady of the Limit! Allow me entry into Your House as one who loves Your Sister, and in Her honor, I seek this entrance. Lady of the Liminal, let me step into the Akhet, this Shining Place. I too wish to shine in the glow of Your grace, Your light, Your wings.
I open my heart, mind, and soul to Nephthys. Come, Goddess! Bring Your Ka, Ba, and Akh to me! Descend on Your glimmering wings into Your temple. Rise in the Barque of the Night and come here, too. Fill my heart and grace me with Your presence.”
Place your hands at heart level, breathing in while visualizing the Goddess’s Light descending from above, through your head, and pooling beneath your feet. Exhale, allowing this Light to gather at your feet. Inhale again, drawing her light into your heart and vibrating Her name, opening your hands to let Her Light expand into your space.
“NEPHTHYS!” (You can alternate with Nebet-Hwt or Nebtho/Nephtho.)
Repeat this process twice more.
Envisioning Nephthys
Sit comfortably and meditate on the Goddess’s presence. You might experience her overall presence or engage in a detailed vision and dialogue. Allow this interaction to unfold naturally.
Once your encounter has concluded, stand, perform the Nebet gesture, and express gratitude to the Goddess.
“Blessed is the Lady of the Temple, who resides within Her temple.”
Temple by Full Moonlight
Opening the Temple Boundaries
Circle clockwise to the West, retrieving your wand from the Gateway. Moving counterclockwise now, trace back the original circle. Upon reaching the Gateway, glance East, taking a step back through it, leaving the Horizons visible before you and with the West behind. Sweep away the Gateway as priests traditionally did after the Daily Ritual.
Return to the center of your ritual area, avoiding distractions.
“(With crossed hands over my heart) The Eastern Horizon endures eternally.” (Offering a slight bow.)
Pivot to the South.
“(With crossed hands over my heart) The Southern Horizon endures eternally.” (Offering another bow.)
Now to the West.
“(With crossed hands over my heart) The Western Horizon lasts eternally.” (Another bow.)
Lastly, to the North.
“(With crossed hands over my heart) The Northern Horizon exists forever.”
The Temple Returns to the Akhet
Visualize the scene infused with incandescent light, dissolving all in Divine radiance. Everything is eternal as it renews within the Shining Akhet, continuously.
When you feel ready, exit the ritual space.
